I like the design of the Elden ring bosses. I don’t think they need to be made vulnerable after every move. I like the mechanic of recognizing when the window is there and when it isn’t. Sometimes a boss will come at you with multiple combos that don’t leave big openings and imo that’s okay. It’s just another part of learning the fights. I understand your perspective though and your arguments make a lot of sense.

For me, a lot of the apparent "issues" with ds3 are non-issues, even the one I think that is the most fair criticism people have for it being the lack of creativity is a non-issue to me because it makes sense within the world lore and to me it actually makes for the best storytelling in the entire series. Personally, I don't think there's a single thing either ds1 or 2 does better than ds3, though that may also have to do with the fact I think the whole interconnected level design is the most overblown "positive" about a video game of all-time and I far prefer ds3 not having that. I'm happy though to finally find someone who agrees that Midir is actually one of the easiest bosses in the entire game once you learn how to vs him, I keep trying to tell people that once you understand his moveset you'll find yourself accidentally no-hitting him without even trying to. It only feels so hopeless at first because his HP pool is massive and getting hit costs you half your own HP.

Scholar Heide tower sucks, why they put all that heide knights there for no reason, and a fucking dragon thats AOE the entire platform, ds2 was a bad game, ds2 schoolar its even worse and more expensive

This game is overrated piece of garbage made for kids or stay at home moms, both of whom are not even "gamers", i.e. its made for people never playing proper AAA games. No wonder its a boring, empty copy paste garbage. I'd rather play AC:Valhalla for another 200 hours then doing another shrine or a korok seed. So angry wasting my time on this without a proper pay off, literal time waste. This game is a good game for someone being 7 years old and playing this game for the first time in their life, but not for people playing proper PC or console AAA games.

1:05 Hmm, idk about that. I mean there's a lot of great characters in P3 but some of them are kind of meh. Whereas in P5 I seriously love every single character. And yeah the story is absolutely better in 5 as well. *Spoiler for P3* Like I remember the first scene with Ikutsuki, how incredibly obvious it was that he was going to be the secretly evil bad guy.

12:30 Important detail : here askeladd was in english territories, and he persecuted the saxons, not the welsh, this was shown very intentionally in the anime, when askeladd suddenly decided to turn to England instead of Wales and chose the rounder route, since the cold weather, askeladd knew he would be forced to pillage villages for food and he didn't want to pillage Welsh ones.

I think Dark Souls 3 did a pretty good job. It was the only game where special art weapons were introduced in mass, where you could modify it. DS 1 and 2 had some special arts but DS 3 had a ton, it was super fun for me reminding it. But i agree with you that they couldve introduced some more things of their own.

Dark souls 2 is the kind of "Hard" game that you can only play if you have infinite patience, people often mix up what patience and skill is in games. Putting 50 Enemies in one area who all stagger you into a combo chain when they hit you once, you being very limited in speed to reaction, attacking basically a death sentence cuz if you hit one enemy ur stuck in place while the other enemy hits you, basically turning the game into a hit and run simulator is NOT something pure skill will get you through. That is just testing your patience for how long u wanna run back and forth, wait for an opportunity and then hit and repeat. Sekiro doesnt have any of that and is still considered the most difficult soulsborne game based on pure skill. Yes Dark Souls 2 takes skill but that skill is only useful if you pair it with unnatural amounts of patience

The over world expansions and technical advancements were nice, but hardly integrated with the story apart from 3 of the dungeons. If there aren’t any stakes involved, what’s the point?

Quick question. Let’s assume someone does want to play Elden Ring the right way to truly experience the beauty of the boss designs, what does the build look like? What are the weapons/class of weapons you should use? What about ashes of war? I’ve done everything in the game without playing this way but if there’s way to experience it all more optimally, I’d love more than anything to jump back in.

The only question that I have is about how you said that “Elden ring was the least replayable from soft game” I just wonder why you feel that way as personally I think the game is incredibly fun on replay especially with how big the world is there is so much I missed my first play through that really made me enjoy the game even more the more times I played. DD1 was leagues better atleast in the gameplay department, especially with the DA addon. And arguably... the story was leagues better too, and that says something cause the story was a mess in DD1. Worldbuiling also was way better in DD1... basically DD2 is a worse version of DD1 with better graphics (and worse performance on PC thanks to denuvo) Also DD1 without DA had more bosses then DD2... hydra, evil eye, cocatrice.. and it gets worse if you include Dark Arisen...

tutorial popups shouldve been saved in separate menu to read later, it pops up once requiring to read wall of text and then its gone forever (a lot of players just skip it and then struggle)

I think the first half of your video highlights a lot about how approaches are formed based on the fromsoft game you start with/is the most memorable. Sekiro focuses a lot on poise and stagger to the point where its the whole gameplay loop. Dark souls gives you a shield in the beginning, enforcing defensive gameplay bloodborne promotes a lot of quick offensive gameplay to the point that the only shield in the game shuns you in the flavour text. Elden ring is unique to all othe fromsoft games due to the design philosophy of "exploration." They let you go do something else if you are having trouble for a powerboost (you can skip stormviel castle to lucaria if you want) and the class start system promotes many playstyles at once. All the playstyles are viable. it's just that the poise one is much more visual and impactful

The game looks awful in all categories the textures are bland and unweathered, like they're nothing but wallpaper, and the lighting doesn't help there either none of the world feels 'real' because of it and then you add the shitty generic high fantasy styled armors. enemies and weapons and the incredibly, disgustingly shitty garbage ass vomitingly bad animation that they probably hired to high schooler to do and it all comes together to make a horrible looking game and that's all just looks not only does it look bad but it feels terrible to play too
